3. Working

These bearings support radial loads and limited axial (thrust) loads in both directions. The deep raceway grooves with close conformity between the balls and raceways ensure stable operation at high speeds and minimal friction. The sealed version prevents contaminants from entering and ensures prolonged lubrication.

4. Principle

The rolling element principle is employed where steel balls reduce friction between the inner and outer rings. As the shaft rotates, the balls rotate inside deep grooves, transmitting the load efficiently with minimal resistance.

5. Assembly

  1. Clean all parts before assembly.
  2. Align the inner ring with the shaft.
  3. Use a press-fit or slight heat shrink technique for the outer ring if necessary.
  4. Install seal/shield if applicable.
  5. Apply lubricant (if not pre-lubricated).

6. Installation Process

  • Step 1: Ensure shaft and housing tolerances are as per ISO recommendations.
  • Step 2: Use a bearing heater or press to mount the bearing.
  • Step 3: Do not apply force on rolling elements.
  • Step 4: Fit locking mechanism (if used – circlip/snap ring).
  • Step 5: Check rotation manually after mounting.

10. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What is the difference between 6000, 6200, and 6300 series?
A: 6000 is light duty, 6200 is medium, and 6300 is heavy duty based on wall thickness and load capacity.

Q2: Can bearings be customized?
A: Yes, we offer OEM solutions with custom bore, width, seal type, and packaging.

Q3: Are these bearings pre-lubricated?
A: Yes, sealed bearings (2RS/ZZ) come pre-greased. Open type requires external lubrication.

Q4: Can they handle axial load?
A: Yes, but up to 20-30% of radial load. For high axial loads, use angular contact bearings.

Q5: Do you offer white-label/OEM manufacturing?
A: Yes, Adarsh Bearings manufactures under LOCUS brand for export & white-label buyers.

11. Applications

  • Electric Motors & Pumps
  • Fans, Blowers & HVAC Systems
  • Automotive Transmissions & Wheels
  • Industrial Gearboxes & Conveyors
  • Agricultural Equipment
  • Printing & Textile Machinery
  • Medical Equipment (Small series)
