3. Working

The clutch bearing works as an interface between the clutch fork and pressure plate diaphragm. When the clutch pedal is pressed, the bearing moves forward, pushing against the diaphragm spring. This disengages the clutch, allowing for smooth gear shifting.

4. Principle

Based on the thrust bearing principle, the clutch bearing absorbs axial loads generated during clutch engagement and disengagement. It allows rotational movement between the clutch pressure plate and transmission shaft while withstanding high radial and axial loads.

5. Assembly

  1. Install the bearing onto the clutch fork or release arm.
  2. Align the clutch bearing with the pressure plate diaphragm.
  3. Ensure it slides freely along the input shaft guide tube.
  4. Secure with retainer clips or spring locks depending on clutch type.

6. Installation Process

  1. Disconnect battery and remove transmission system.
  2. Remove old clutch bearing from fork or sleeve.
  3. Clean mounting area and input shaft guide.
  4. Install new Locus Clutch Bearing using clutch alignment tool.
  5. Reassemble clutch system and transmission.
  6. Check smooth pedal operation before use.
